Poor Seed Quality

Details:

This region of Ohio was under drought conditions for much of the season and received heavy rainfall due to Hurricane Helene. Seed quality was already compromised due to the dry conditions and was further compromised by rewetting. Seeds were found to be shriveled, split, and diseased.

Conclusion:

If possible, ensure a timely harvest of dry soybeans to avoid potential issues.
