Details:

This soybean field was at the R8 (full maturity) growth stage. This region had been under drought conditions before receiving severe rainfall due to Hurricane Helene. The result of dry soybeans being introduced to that much moisture caused the soybean seeds to sprout within the pods. This was observed in 50-75% of the site.

Conclusion:

When possible, try to harvest dry soybeans in a timely fashion to avoid potential issues.
