Details:

Sudden Death Syndrome (SDS) was found in R2 (full flower) soybeans in Iowa. 

Conclusion:

Planting soybean varieties with SDS resistance, as well as using effective fungicide seed treatments can help in future years. Other management recommendations include improving soil drainage in fields with recurring SDS, rotating crops, avoiding or reducing soil compaction, and maintaining proper pH and fertility levels.
